Cebu is Where My Heart Is!!

Cebu's tradition of doing the street dancing every year in the 3rd week Sunday of January is rooted from the Senor Sto. Nino image of child Jesus.  This street dancing tradition is called Sinulog which means "like water current movement".  It has been said that the reason behind Cebu's safety against natural calamities is the child Jesus Senor Sto. Last Tuesday, March 5, 2011 we went to the zip lining area at Doce Pares in Busay Lahug.  We rode a motor cyle called "habal habal" and we toke an almost 30 minutes of travel from JY Square Lahug Cebu City, to the place which is the route on going to Tops.  At first I was not thrilled about the place since I was not able to see on where we were going to ride on the zip lining.  When we finally decided to take the long zip lining instead of just the short one and we ascended on the stairs, that was the time that I felt a little nervous.  I felt a little calm when we were shown on how to wear the harness with the helmet.  During our time to take the ride I was kind of hesitant but I just kept on thinking that when others can do it why can't I.  The next part that we did was to cross on the other side of the hill either only on a wire or on a wooden foot path but with a harness attached on the rope that we can grasp to hold on balance.  This is a little...

A bellana Cebu City Sports Complex have it's Oval where any one can do brisk walking, running and jogging.  For just a minimal amount of 10 pesos you can do all the rest of whatever you want in walking, running or jogging as a way to have a cardio exercise, burn fat and be fit and healthy.  Among the sports that I have knowledge that are available to the public on this sports complex are belly dancing, taekwondo, swimming, dance sport and there is also a gym. Whenever I have my available free time I will jog and brisk walk at the Oval.

Redemptorist Church is where most of the Roman Catholic weddings were held not because of the accessibility of this church when you are living within the city but every wedding needs to be solemn.  It is located in Cebu City itself.  Inside of this church you can see in the middle of the altar the picture of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Myself as a raised Roman Catholic  Christian , I can say that this place is worth a visit specially during Sundays where masses were held as scheduled. At the center you can see the framed image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Last July 16, 2011, I was accompanying my parents in this church since my father was one of the wedding sponsor and he is the godfather of the bride.
